Cody Rhodes is known to be fairly outspoken on Social Media with regards to his position on the independent wrestling scene and his role as ROH Champion & Member of the Bullet Club.

Since his departure from WWE Cody has been featured on a number of high profile PPV events such as New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom, Impact’s Bound for Glory, WCPW events across the UK and of course Ring of Honor’s numerous offerings.

When a fan tweeted Cody earlier today stating that WWE didn’t treat him as “the star he is”  the ‘Grandson of a Plumber’ had an interesting response:

I was a multi-time champion & made the walk at Mania' a handful of times. WWE DID treat me like a star and I am grateful for it. I just saw something bigger in myself and I teamed up with folks like Matt & Nick who have that same vision and want to go for it. https://t.co/Zac2v5T1yG
