Former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg will consider her options when she becomes a free agent once her current UFC contract expires.
She is slated to take on Felicia Spencer on July 27, 2019 at the UFC 240 pay-per-view event. After this fight, she will test the free-agent market. She shared the news on Monday on ESPN’s Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show.
During the interview, she noted that would consider a future in professional wrestling and added that she still has hopes to wrestle former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.
“It’s hard to be a pro wrestler,” Justino said. “They work very hard. They’re very athletic. Maybe. I did training before a little bit.”
Justino was recently ringside at the first All Elite Wrestling show, Double or Nothing, in Las Vegas last month. Back in January, she trained at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Cyborg has been open about her interest in transitioning to professional wrestling after her MMA career winds down. In fact, she has stated various interviews by stating that she would love to wrestle Rousey, whom she never got to face inside the Octagon when Rousey was still fighting.
