Damien Sandow On Randy Orton Fan Attack, If It Was A Work, Life On The Road

South African website “Tonight” recently caught up with the current owner of the World Heavyweight Championship “Money In The Bank” briefcase, Damien Sandow, to discuss the already infamous Randy Orton fan attack during the recent WWE live event in Cape Town, as well as life on the road as a WWE Superstar.

Below are highlights from the article:

On the Randy Orton fan attack at the WWE live event in Cape Town: “Yes, it happened that a fan got too excited and decided to join in the fun. It was unfortunate, but that is behind us now.”

On whether or not the fan attack was a work, and the chances of the attacker appearing on future WWE programming as an actual character in the company: “It is possible, but I can’t confirm that. I didn’t know anything about it beforehand so I am totally in the dark. However, it is now at a stage where WWE as a company has to handle the legal aspects that come with such situations. All I know is this is just going to tighten our security from this point onwards.”

On life on the road as a WWE Superstar: “We are on the road for about two-and-a-half weeks or so and wherever we land we find the closest gym, workout, eat right, rest, then perform. It is like that constantly as time is not abundant. When we get some down time we fly to our respective homes and spend time with our families.”
