UFC President Dana White is vehemently denying that Conor McGregor is in talks with WWE to appear at WrestleMania and cited text messages from WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon to defend his position.
Earlier this week, UK tabloid The Sun ran the story about McGregor being close to coming to terms for a lucrative WrestleMania appearance.
Dana White appeared on Good Day New York on Thursday morning and stated bluntly, “It’s not true. It’s simply not true.”
White told anchor Rosanna Scotto that he reached out to Vince McMahon earlier this week to address the rumor. When asked to see the text messages, White showed her the texts. In response to Dana White, Vince replied to him, “News to me.”
Another message from Vince read, “It might be good someday but not now.”
