During Thursday’s quarterly earnings report, WWE revealed that they expect to reach the Network’s break-even-point for profitability during the second quarter (April-June).

WWE announced 927,000 average paid subscribers during the first quarter. WWE needs 1.0 million average paid subscribers to be profitable. The company will be doing another free month for new subscribers in May, which has been a successful strategy for increasing the number of average paid subscribers.

One million paid subscribers in the second quarter would result in operating profit of $1-3 million. WWE stated:

“In 2015, the Company expects year?over?year adjusted OIBDA growth in every quarter, with growth driven by the performance of WWE Network as well as the escalation of television rights fees, and continued innovation across all of the Company’s businesses.”
