Dish Network Statement Regarding WrestleMania XXX, JR On WM30 Kickoff Show

– Dish Network has released the following statement regarding their decision to not carry WrestleMania XXX:

Please note that WWE is not willing to adjust PPV costs to satellite/cable companies, which is unfair to their customers. DISH needs to re-focus efforts to support partners that better serve DISH customers and other satellite/cable companies, including DirecTV, have also expressed they may no longer provide WWE PPV events in the future.”

As of this writing, DirecTV is expected to still carry WrestleMania XXX, however there is a lot of speculation that it will be the final WWE pay-per-view they distribute.

– During his latest batch of Q&A’s at JRsBarBQ.com, Jim Ross said the following about WWE presenting a 2-hour Kickoff Show prior to WrestleMania XXX:

“Doesn’t bother me. We don’t have to watch it, right? If the pre game show is well produced and the talents step up it might be great.”
