Drew McIntyre has shown support for Belfast grappler Adam Maxted, who currently wrestles for World of Sport (WOS) as someone that WWE should consider signing in the near future.
McIntyre recently did an interview with the Irish Mirror to promote WWE returning to Ireland for WWE Live at the SSE Arena Belfast this month. For the Monday Night RAW star, he thinks that Maxted will make it in WWE once given the opportunity due to him being so talented.
“I’m sure it’s inevitable that he’ll get an opportunity on the big stage,” he said. “He works extremely hard, he’s very dedicated to wrestling and he has a passion for it, which you can tell just from talking to him.
McIntyre has shared the ring with Maxted before as he wrestled him before signing with WWE back in 2017 under his real name Drew Galloway in the Irish promotion OTT Wrestling.
As a result of this experience, he’s very high on the prospect. He also thinks his size is a benefit for him as he makes people turn their heads when he walks down the street and that is going to help him with getting over with people who aren’t wrestling fans that wouldn’t always watch the product.
“He’s got a very marketable look, which is certainly an asset on top of his passion.”
