Emma has checked in with an update after suffering a shoulder injury last week (5/7) in Liverpool, England and it doesn’t sound promising. While tagging with Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax against Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James, Emma took a bad bump in the corner and was helped to the backstage area by WWE officials. She was later sent home from the European tour to undergo a medical evaluation.

On Thursday, Emma posted an update on Instagram and revealed things did not go so well. Her depressing-yet-inpirational message reads,
“Someday, everything will make perfect sense. So far now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason.”
It’s a tough break for Emma, who recently returned to action after a long hiatus. She underwent back surgery to repair a ruptured disc in May 2016 and remained on the sidelines until October. After months of vignettes hyping the debut of Emmalina, we finally met her new persona in a bizarre segment on RAW. The Emmalina character was quickly dropped.
Here’s Emma’s Instagram message from Thursday.
