History was made on Sunday night when WWE crowned the first-ever NXT UK Women’s Champion. WWE just held two nights of tapings at the Insomnia gaming festival at NEC Birmingham. These matches will air on the WWE Network as part of the upcoming NXT UK series.
As part of the tapings, an 8-woman tournament was held to crown the first champion. The participants included Toni Storm, Rhea Ripley, Jinny, Isla Dawn, Millie McKenzie, Nina Samuels, Dakota Kai and Xia Brookside.
