Former WWE Superstar Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) has his fight lined up as he returns to MMA competition this coming weekend.
His opponent has been revealed by the Bellator MMA promotion, which is owned by Viacom, as he’ll take on T.J. Jones (1-1) at Bellator 221.
Swagger beat J.W. Kiser by first-round arm triangle choke on the main card of Bellator 214 back in January at The Forum in Inglewood, California. This marked his pro-MMA debut.
Bellator 221 is set to take place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and will air on DAZN at 9:00 PM EST.
Featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire is moving up to 155 pounds to challenge lightweight champion Michael Chandler in a fight that will serve as the main event.
Douglas Lima facing Michael Page as part of the Welterweight Grand Prix and Undefeated rising star A.J. McKee vs. former featherweight champion Pat Curran are also on tap for this show.
