Former WWE Superstar Jack Swagger (Jake Hager) has signed with Bellator MMA. Hager made the announcement on Monday during an appearance on the The MMA Hour.
Hager was a two-sport athlete in the University of Oklahoma. He played American Football and wrestled. By sophomore year, he turned to wrestling solely. Hager came in seventh in the NCAA Championships during his senior year.
Following his collegiate career, Hager signed with the WWE where he’d go on to hold the World Heavyweight, United States and ECW Championships.
Hager, who will be fighting in Bellator’s heavyweight division along with Impact Wrestling star Bobby Lashley, says he plans to continue pro wrestling.
