Former WWE Superstar Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) is making the media rounds to promote his second pro-MMA fight as he recently made an appearance on the Sauce & Shram Show.
It turns out that fellow former WWE star CM Punk also appeared on the program.
During this interview, Swagger spoke about how being in WWE and having experience on television help him prepare for MMA competition. He brought up how the television aspect was very helpful because knowing that everyone is watching, you have to prepare yourself a certain way.
By having that experience then it helps mentally and “being a pro wrestler helps me be a better MMA fighter because I’m comfortable in my own skin.”
Swagger would then be asked about making the transition from pro wrestling to MMA, which is when he stated that the experience has been refreshing. The reason for that is due to it being nice to be at home and doing something that he loves in MMA compared to being on the road and traveling and having your body beaten down in pro wrestling.
Swagger is slated to step into the cage under the Bellator MMA promotion, which is owned by Viacom, as he’ll take on T.J. Jones (1-1) at Bellator 221 on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and will air on DAZN at 9:00 PM EST.
