– On this week’s NXT show, Finn Balor and Adrian Neville advanced to the finals of the #1 Contender’s Tournament. The finals take place at next week’s TakeOver: Rival live special on the WWE Network.
There’s been some speculation that Balor will wear body paint and an elaborate entrance like the last NXT TakeOver special.
– WWE.com has published an interview with NXT Tag Team Champions Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy. Here are some quick highlights:
Murphy: “This isn’t just an accomplishment for me but for my home country. This title makes me the first Australian-born Superstar to ever hold a WWE championship.”
Blake: “Murphy and I started in NXT right when the Performance Center opened in July 2013. We instantly hit it off. We hung out all the time like brothers, with the exception of living together. Murphy and I basically made a vow that we wanted to be a team that would bring a different kind of energy to the tag team division. I honestly believe we can do a lot of things that other teams just aren’t capable of, and now that we’ve made a statement with these titles, we plan to keep shocking and awing everyone every week.”
– WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross tweeted about the news of Chael Sonnen claiming he received an invitation from WWE to appear at WrestleMania weekend. As noted earlier, WWE has denied Chael’s claim. JR said once again that he thinks UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey would be great for a guest appearance.
