News broke on Thursday that ESPN was set to lay off 100 employees, including including on-air talent, producers and executives. The majority of the departures are expected to take place after Thanksgiving, but former WWE broadcaster Jonathan Coachman announced that he has parted ways with ESPN.
While it has been suspected for awhile that he was finished with the sports media outlet, he recently confirmed the news on Twitter.
Yes I? will be. Several projects in the works. When I? can discuss I? will. But it was just time to leave espn. Professional and personal reasons. But I? feel great and this show is for fun and to stay sharp. https://t.co/zw0Y9omDUj

Jonathan Coachman
Coachman worked for WWE from 1999 to 2008 before leaving for ESPN. Someone asked him if he had any interest returning to the company and this was his response.

He changed his tune a couple of tweets later, however.
