As expected, WWE has announced Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens for the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.
During Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, not only was the match confirmed but a stipulation to go along with it was officially announced as well. If Owens loses the match then he’ll be forced to quit the company. McMahon would later book Owens against Roman Reigns for SmackDown Live.
This comes after Owens brought up in a video on social media over the weekend that he’d quit the company if he can’t beat McMahon.
The storyline between Owens and McMahon started on an episode of SmackDown Live earlier this month where Owens cut a promo about how McMahon takes up too much TV time and nobody wanted to see him on TV all the time.
WWE presents the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena
