WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Kurt Angle went out with a loss.
At the WWE WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event in East Rutherford, NJ, Angle lost to Baron Corbin in his final match after a legendary career.
Angle announced the news several weeks ago that he would work the final match of his career at the biggest event of the year for the company. When Angle first announced his farewell match, there was speculation ranging from John Cena to Samoa Joe to Shelton Benjamin as his possible opponent.
It turns out that WWE decided to have Corbin be his final opponent due to their history over the power of being the General Manager of WWE Monday Night RAW.
Kurt Angle’s Legendary Career
Angle made his first appearance at a professional wrestling event in 1996 with his in-ring debut following in 1998. He signed a contract with the WWE that same year and participated in his first televised storyline in March 1999.
Angle is a six-time world champion (four reigns as WWF/WWE Champion, one as WCW Champion and one as WWE’s World Heavyweight Champion), a one-time United States Champion, one-time Intercontinental Champion. He’s also one-time European Champion, one-time Hardcore Champion, and one-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
