33

As we’ve been reporting, two of the standouts at the recent WWE Performance Center’s recent tryout camp were former Ring of Honor tag team champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. Full Details On WWE’s Latest Tryout Camp – Who Is Getting Signed?

The latest is that WWE is still in talks with both men, with a few influential employees pushing the company to give them a closer look and sign them.

Other people, including Triple H, are against signing them because WWE “has signed enough indy wrestlers.”  The feeling is that WWE already has enough indy workers in developmental and the company is focusing on signing larger than life characters and wrestlers with strong amateur credentials, like this week’s signing of Olympian Chas Betts.
