– David Chao, the controversial sports surgeon who has performed multiple surgeries on Rey Mysterio, is risk of having his medical license revoked by the California board due to allegations of “gross negligence in his care of patients.”
Chao is the head physician for the San Diego Chargers and has been sued around 20 times by four chargers players for medical malpractice, negligence and fraud. No word yet on whether Mysterio still uses Dr. Chao, but he’s being cited by the NFL players union as an example of why players should have a say which doctors they see.
