The teased Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley rematch is expected to take place at the upcoming Crown Jewel event from Saudi Arabia on October 21.
There were some speculations that this match may be saved for the Survivor Series PPV. Though PWinsider has now confirmed that the bout is scheduled for the upcoming PPV next month:
“WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg’s promo on Raw tonight was the first step in building to Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg at the 10/21 Crown Jewel PPV,”
The wrestling veteran first faced the Bellator star for the WWE championship at the SummerSlam PPV. The All-Mighty won this match after his opponent was unable to complete the bout due to a knee injury.
However, Lashley continued his attack on Goldberg even after the bell rang. Bobby attacked him with a steel chair. When Goldberg’s son Gage came to his father’s aid, Bobby Lashley ended up attacking him as well.
This week’s episode of Raw then saw the former WCW star appearing via satellite. He said that he will fulfill the promise made to his family and hurt the former TNA star real bad for what he did to Gage.
This is the second match that has been confirmed for the upcoming show after WWE announced Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar Universal championship match for their next Saudi Arabian PPV.
