A documentary on NXT commentator, Nigel McGuinness, will premiere after this Saturday’s WWE NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool event. The documentary will stream via the WWE Network at the shows conclusion at 4:30 PM ET.
Entitled “Chasing The Magic: The Nigel McGuinness Story,” the hour-long documentary will tell the story of McGuinness’ ambitions of becoming a pro wrestler, his dreams of wrestling for WWE, and the sad reasons as to why that never came to be.
The official synopsis for Chasing The Magic can be read below:
“The story of Nigel McGuinness, a man with lifelong aspirations of becoming a WWE Superstar, whose career was unceremoniously cut short.”

Nigel McGuinness had a storied career on the independent circuit prior to signing with WWE in 2016. Wrestling for companies such as Ring Of Honor (ROH) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), he feuded with many top names in the industry including Chris Hero, Bryan Danielson (WWE’s Daniel Bryan), Samoa Joe, and Kurt Angle, to name just a few.
