PAC Loses ‘Open The Dream Gate Championship’ To Ben K

There hasn’t been a lot of update on Pac’s AEW status since he was pulled from Double Or Nothing, though latest events might have finally opened the gate for his debut at the upstart promotion.

Pac was scheduled to defend his Open the Dream Gate Championship against Ben K at Dragon Gate‘s Kobe Pro-Wrestling Festival 2019 this Sunday Night.

And for the surprise of many fans, the former WWE Star lost the World Title of the company following a hard-hitting match between the two stars, ending his 229 days long reign:

It was reported at the time of Double Or Nothing that the former WWE Star didn’t want to lose clean while holding the Dragon Gate title while the original plans were for him to lose a match against Kenny Omega after Double Or Nothing.

He was then pulled from the show because the two parties couldn’t reach an agreement, but since then both Tony Khan and The Young Bucks have said that they want him in their company.

With the weight of the Dragon Gate title being lifted off of his shoulder, the former Cruiserweight Champion is free from the creative restrictions that stopped him from making his AEW debut.

So now the big question is if AEW Officials will try to bring Pac to the company as soon as possible and if we can expect him to make an appearance at the upcoming All Out event.
