Former ECW Champion In Indianapolis Ahead Of WWE Royal Rumble 2025

The 2025 Royal Rumble is mere hours away, with fans excited to see who punches their ticket to WrestleMania 41. The Royal Rumble is typically a night of surprise returns and one of the biggest names from ECW could be in action tonight.

According to PWInsider Elite, Rhyno was seen at the hotel WWE talent and crew are staying at, where he was greeted by Talent Relations staff before being “quickly whisked away to a more private area.” This sighting has fueled speculation that Rhyno could be making a surprise appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

Rhyno recently finished his time with TNA Wrestling, and the former ECW World Champion is currently a free agent. While the Man-Beast was already in town for WrestleCon, his presence at the hotel has left many believing he will be doing something at WWE’s first PLE of 2025.

2025 Royal Rumble: Preview, Matches, How to Watch

Rhyno’s last WWE appearance took place on November 7, 2024, when he made a special cameo on NXT at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia while still under contract with TNA. That show was a special tribute event for ECW and saw other extreme alum including Rob Van Dam, Francine, Dawn Marie, and Bubba Ray Dudley.

The Man Beast made his Royal Rumble debut in 2004 where he lasted 14 minutes and scored an elimination over fellow ECW alum Tajiri. Now, two decades later, fans may be seeing the former ECW World Champion back in the Royal Rumble match.

Declan McMahon Confirms He’ll Be At Royal Rumble

A third-generation McMahon family member has declared his entry into the Lucas Oil Stadium for Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble event.

Declan McMahon, the son of Shane McMahon revealed on Twitter recently that he’ll be attending the latest WWE PPV. When someone commented that he should enter the Rumble itself, Declan wrote that it’ll happen soon:

It’s unknown if Shane will be accompanying his son at the show. The 55-year-old was last seen on WWE TV during the WrestleMania 39 event where he infamously tore his quad muscle.

The injury led to Snoop Dogg replacing him in the match against the Miz which the rap star won. Shane’s contract with the company expired in mid-2024 and there have been no updates on a potential return for the risk-taking star.

In a 2023 Interview with WU Online, Declan McMahon had also commented on the potential of a wrestling career like his dad. McMahon who accompanied his dad during the latter WrestleMania 32 entrance had called it ‘the coolest experience.’

While not fully committing to the possibility, Declan had claimed that he would never rule out a potential wrestling debut. Though according to the Football star, it’s all about the story and he would only enter the business if the right opportunity presents itself.

Penta El Zero Miedo delivered one of the most heartfelt promos of his career on a recent edition of WWE Raw, proving that passion transcends language. Following his match, he spoke openly about his journey, the responsibility of representing Mexico, and his deep gratitude for the moment.

“Nobody told me what to say,” Penta shared with Dave LaGrega of Busted Open Radio. “I spoke from my heart because I carry the responsibility of my country, my culture, my friends, and legends.”

Although English isn’t his first language, his words resonated with fans around the world. “I know my English is not perfect, but my heart, my soul… I just speak with my spirit. This is my dream.”

Penta’s emotional promo wasn’t just about personal achievement but about inspiring the next generation of luchadors.

“For Mexicans, this is an example: no matter where you are from, your city, your town—if you have passion, you can be the best.”

His presence in WWE highlights the growing influence of Lucha Libre in mainstream wrestling alongside stars like Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Santos Escobar. His ability to connect with audiences beyond words reinforces why representation matters.

Penta’s journey is far from over, but his Raw speech marked a defining moment in his WWE career. Fans now eagerly await what’s next for the fearless luchador.

Penta Thanks ECW Legend For Being His Role Model

Penta El Zero Miedo’s rise to WWE has been filled with unforgettable moments, from Lucha Underground to Impact Wrestling and now WWE. Reflecting on his journey during an interview with Dave LaGreca of Busted Open during Royal Rumble 2025 media day, he credits key figures who helped shape his career.

“Tommy [Dreamer] always gave me the best advice in this business… I want to say thank you for everything. You are my role model,” Penta shared.

His recent WWE match against Chad Gable on the Raw on Netflix premiere episode marked a major milestone in his career as it marked his WWE in-ring debut.

“This match with Chad Gable was the turning point of my career. He is one of the best wrestlers in the world.”

Penta’s adaptability has been key to his success, proving that Lucha Libre can thrive at the highest levels. As WWE continues to embrace international styles, his presence adds to the growing influence of luchadors in mainstream wrestling.

Penta Confronts Dominik Mysterio At WWE Royal Rumble Media Day

Penta El Zero Miedo and Dominik Mysterio nearly gave reporters a preview of what to expect when they potentially clash in the Men’s Royal Rumble match this Saturday.

Penta, formerly known as Pentagon Jr., signed with WWE earlier this month and made an immediate impact. He secured a victory over Chad Gable in his in-ring debut during the Raw on Netflix premiere episode.

As seen in the clip below, Penta and Mysterio had a heated confrontation. While it’s unclear what sparked the exchange, it was certainly a moment worth watching:

Mysterio had a busy and eventful 2024 in WWE, engaging in several high-profile feuds and matches. As a key member of The Judgment Day, he has consistently used his cunning and underhanded tactics to assist his stablemates.

Despite his heel persona, Dominik has become one of the most talked-about stars on Raw. His character work and in-ring performances have improved significantly, earning recognition from both fans and critics.

So far, other confirmed entrants in the Royal Rumble include John Cena, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, LA Knight, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Logan Paul, Chad Gable, Bron Breakker, and Carmelo Hayes.

Sabrina Carpenter as an Inspiration?

Stratton, known for her confidence and star power, fully embraces the frequent comparisons to pop star Sabrina Carpenter. She dreams of Carpenter singing her entrance theme one day.

“I love it. She’s my inspo!” she said. “Maybe she’ll be front row at a show like Vanessa Hudgens was last time.”

Tiffany Stratton Plays “Never Have I Ever”

Stratton also participated in a lighthearted game of Never Have I Ever, revealing some fun details about her personal life. Among her admissions:

  • She’s used a dating app—but it didn’t go well. “Let’s just say… bad,” she laughed.
  • She has snooped through a phone before. (No details on whose!)
  • She’s fallen in love—and is still in love. She was one of the few WWE stars to admit it.

On top of that, she confessed to texting the wrong person multiple times, camping in the wilderness, and belting out karaoke in front of a crowd.

Expected Runtime for WWE Royal Rumble 2025 Revealed

WWE’s 2025 Royal Rumble is set to electrify Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis this Saturday, and fans now have a clearer idea of how long the event will run.

According to WWE’s official YouTube schedule, the Royal Rumble post-show livestream is set to begin at 10 PM ET (3 AM UK time). Since the main card is scheduled to start at 6 PM ET, this suggests the event will run for approximately four hours—assuming there’s little to no downtime between the main show’s conclusion and the post-show kickoff.

A four-hour runtime aligns with past Royal Rumble events, especially given the jam-packed card. The two 30-person Royal Rumble matches alone typically consume nearly an hour each, making up a substantial portion of the show.

Becky Lynch And Seth Rollins Sign With Adventure Media

Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are expanding their reach in the entertainment industry. According to Deadline, the WWE couple has signed with Adventure Media for management. Lynch will continue to be represented by CAA and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver & Thompson.

While away from WWE, Lynch has pursued acting opportunities in Hollywood. She will appear in the first season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, set to air on Paramount Plus. Production is scheduled to begin in August. Additionally, she has joined the cast of Happy Gilmore 2 alongside Adam Sandler.

Lynch is expected to be in town for this Saturday’s Royal Rumble event. While not officially confirmed, she is likely to compete in the Women’s Rumble match, where she has a chance to earn a title shot at WrestleMania 41 in April. Last year at WrestleMania, she fell short in her challenge against Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship.

Rollins, who headlined Raw’s Netflix premiere earlier this month, is slated to compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. He will face top competitors, including CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and John Cena, in his attempt to secure a spot at WrestleMania.

Beyond wrestling, Rollins has ventured into acting, appearing in several films and television projects, including:

  • 2016: Sharknado: The 4th Awakens – Portrayed AstroTech Lopez.
  • 2017: The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania! – Voiced Seth Rollins/Reactor Rollins.
  • 2017: Armed Response – Played the role of Brett.
  • 2019: Trouble – Provided the voice for Norm.
  • 2020: Like a Boss – Appeared as Byron.
  • 2025: Captain America: Brave New World – Cast in an undisclosed role but ultimately not featured in the film.

Despite these acting endeavors, Rollins has stated that Hollywood does not provide him the same fulfillment as wrestling. While he remains open to select opportunities, his primary passion remains inside the squared circle.

Pat McAfee Rumored as Surprise Entrant for the 2025 Royal Rumble

WWE broadcaster and former NFL star Pat McAfee is expected to make a surprise appearance in this weekend’s 2025 Royal Rumble match, according to Fightful Select.

Insiders within WWE believe McAfee will enter Saturday’s highly anticipated 30-man Rumble match at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis—a location that holds special significance for him. The former Indianapolis Colts punter has deep ties to the city, where he built his sports media empire and became a fan-favorite personality in WWE.

McAfee’s WWE Legacy and Potential Return

McAfee has already showcased his in-ring abilities on multiple occasions, most notably in a standout match against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 38, followed by an impromptu victory over The Miz at WrestleMania 39. His unique blend of charisma, athleticism, and passion for wrestling has made him a natural fit for WWE.

While WWE has yet to officially confirm his participation, the Royal Rumble is known for its shocking returns and surprise entrants. Given McAfee’s popularity and hometown connection, his involvement would likely create a massive reaction from the crowd. Whether this marks a one-night return or something more long-term remains to be seen.

Other Potential Surprises at the Rumble

Alongside McAfee, popular streamers Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed will be in attendance at the event. Their presence has fueled speculation that they, too, could be involved in some capacity—potentially even as surprise entrants in the Rumble match.

Stephanie McMahon Reveals If She Misses Being A Performer

Stephanie McMahon says she does not miss being an on-screen character.

The former WWE Executive appeared on The Pat McAfee Show to promote her new project. She talked about things such as WWE’s process of creating stars, the media coming after her family and more.

When asked about her own WWE appearances and if she preferred being a heel or a face, McMahon confirmed that being a villain has always been her calling:

“Love being a heel. I hate being a babyface. It’s the worst, the worst. Prefer to be booed, yeah. Even when I was growing up, I always loved the heels. I didn’t like cheering for [Hulk] Hogan, it just wasn’t…He was the most over ever but I just…I wasn’t on the bandwagon.”

Ever Since Then I Haven’t Had That Craving: Stephanie McMahon

Stephanie McMahon had been a featured performer for WWE during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras. She continued making regular appearances for the company till 2023 when she resigned from all her roles in the promotion.

When asked if she misses being a performer and getting reactions from the crowd, the wrestling veteran claimed that she hasn’t felt that way since her match against Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34:

“I think there was a period of time that I have felt that way. I think there’s various periods of time where I felt that way. But honestly, after I wrestled Ronda and Kurt at WrestleMania, it for some reason, didn’t become my driving force.

Like it was so amazing that match. What we were able to, the story we were able to tell, what we were able to accomplish. [With] me being the only non-athlete, it was a tall order for me. Ever since then, I haven’t had that craving. Honestly, it’s more ‘How are they going to react?’ It’s not like, ‘Oh, I’m craving them to do this or that.’

It’s more like, ‘Oh, are they going to react at all when I come out?’ Because I’ve really only been out WrestleMania, you know, opening the second night of WrestleMania, and then I’ve been in the crowd, so it’s not like I’ve really been out in front of [everybody].”

Charlotte Flair’s WWE Return Comes with a Bold ‘Top Girl’ Persona

Significant Update on Alexa Bliss’ Status with WWE

Alexa Bliss hasn’t appeared in a WWE ring in over two years, with her latest match being at the 2023 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Now, the idea of Bliss returning may be finished for good as she and WWE remain nowhere close to a new deal.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, the situation is looking grim. It was explained that the two sides are so far apart regarding a new deal that “people are talking about not expecting a deal to be made.”

WWE reportedly planned for Bliss to return to Raw on January 13 as part of The Wyatt Sicks storyline. However, when Bliss pushed for a new contract instead of continuing under her existing extension, WWE nixed all plans for her return. The day after she was supposed to return, Bliss erased all WWE references from her social media accounts, signalling issues with the promotion behind the scenes.

Bliss has not publicly addressed the contract situation, but her priorities have been made crystal clear online. This week, Bliss shared a photo of herself and her daughter Hendrix with the caption, “If you need me. I’ll be here. For a while.” The notion that Bliss will be with her daughter “for a while” has continued to leave fans speculating that her current hiatus from WWE shows no signs of ending anytime soon.

Alexa Bliss Eager for WWE Return, but it’s Out of Her Control

Alexa Bliss was once one of WWE’s top female performers with multiple title reigns and a Money in the Bank contract win to her name. Now though, Bliss’ future remains increasingly uncertain as the promotion moves ahead without the ‘Goddess’ around.

WWE Legend Contacted For Royal Rumble Appearance (Report)

Kurt Angle might be one of the names making a surprise appearance at this weekend’s Royal Rumble event from Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Olympic Gold Medallist is already scheduled to be in the area. He has been announced as part of the WrestleCon convention alongside other legendary guests such as Sting, Ric Flair and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Now Fightful Select is reporting that to people close to him, Angle has divulged that he has been contacted by WWE to participate in something for Saturday’s Premium Live event.

It’s unknown what role the company is considering Angle for, but given his physical condition, it’s likely that he’ll be appearing in a non-wrestling role if he is indeed brought in for the PPV.

Kurt Angle also recently explained that he is not interested in an extended role with the company so his appearance will be a one-off thing if it happens.

The WWE Hall of Famer is not the only big name expected at the show. The company has already announced that Charlotte Flair will be making her in-ring return at the Premium Live Event after her year-long injury.

Several NXT stars are also expected to be brought in for the show per reports. You can check out a list of the NXT names that might appear at the event here.

Dustin Rhodes Wouldn’t Dare Tarnish His Classic Match With Brother Cody

AEW star and current ROH World Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes has spoken out about the possibility of facing his younger brother, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, in the ring again.

Despite speculation that he might return to WWE, Dustin recently re-signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), surprising some fans who expected a Rhodes family reunion in WWE.

Dustin Rhodes on Cody’s Success

On January 30, Dustin took to social media to express his pride in Cody’s accomplishments, emphasizing their family’s legacy in professional wrestling.

“I get asked daily about how I feel about Cody’s success. I love it and I am super proud. Proud of him, proud of my dad, proud of our family. We all 3 have different styles that stand us out and Cody has definitely surpassed every expectation of him.

We are all different in many ways and each of us have left its mark on the world of pro wrestling and entertainment and that #RhodesTrain ain’t stopping. #RhodesFam”

When a fan suggested that the story between them wasn’t over until they faced off for the WWE Championship, Dustin shut down the idea completely.

“No. I will never fight him again. I wouldn’t dare touch something so magical.”

A Legendary Match That Won’t Be Repeated

Dustin and Cody last squared off at AEW Double or Nothing 2019 in a match that is widely regarded as one of the greatest bouts in AEW history. Their emotional, hard-hitting encounter stole the show at AEW’s inaugural pay-per-view and remains a defining moment for both wrestlers.

While fans may have hoped for one last Rhodes family showdown, Dustin’s statement makes it clear that their chapter in the ring is closed. However, both brothers continue to leave their mark on the wrestling world in their own ways.

Samantha Irvin Shuts Down Rumors About WWE Exit and Paul Heyman Comparisons

Samantha Irvin’s sudden departure from WWE in October surprised many fans, and speculation about her reasons for leaving has continued to circulate. Recently, she had to address yet another false rumor suggesting she quit WWE after giving an ultimatum to become the “female Paul Heyman.”

Irvin Responds to Claims About Her WWE Exit

A fan on Twitter claimed that Ricochet had disclosed Irvin’s desire to take on a Paul Heyman-style managerial role, alleging that she left WWE because the company only wanted her as a ring announcer. Irvin saw the post and responded with humor, laughing at the exaggerated claim.

“The comments!!!! ‘Make me Paul Heyman, or I quit!’ WTF,” she joked.

Paul Heyman in the WWE Hall of Fame 2024

One fan agreed that WWE should focus on developing the next generation’s version of Paul Heyman, arguing that while the manager role might seem outdated, it can still be valuable in the right storylines. They also expressed their belief that Irvin would have been a great fit for the role.

Irvin responded by acknowledging that aspiring to be a top-tier manager requires dedication and a deep understanding of the business. However, she made it clear that she never made such a demand to Triple H.

“It’s a beautiful goal tbh and what it really means is: I wanna put time in to learn every single thing. Limited believers could never understand. But regardless I never said that shit to HHH ???”

Focusing on Music and Acting

Irvin’s decision to leave WWE had been in the works for some time, as she now wants to focus on her music career. She has also begun filming for the second season of Churchy, further signaling her shift away from professional wrestling.

She has already confirmed that she has no plans to return as a ring announcer, but it remains to be seen whether she will ever be involved in the wrestling world again in another capacity.

WWE Files Trademark for “Evolve” and What It Means for NXT

WWE has officially filed a trademark application for the name Evolve, according to records from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on January 30. The filing falls under entertainment services, including professional wrestling events, television programs, and related content.

This move has fueled speculation about WWE’s long-rumored NXT expansion, tentatively known as WWE NXT Evolve. Reports indicate that the project remains in development, with veteran booker Gabe Sapolsky playing a key role. Sapolsky, who previously worked alongside Paul Heyman in ECW and co-founded Ring of Honor (ROH), ran the EVOLVE Wrestling promotion from 2010 until its WWE acquisition in 2020.

WWE NXT Evolve: Still in Development?

According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, WWE NXT Evolve remains an active concept but has not been finalized. Independent wrestling talents have reportedly been approached about potential tapings, but no confirmed dates are currently scheduled.

The show is expected to spotlight WWE NIL (Next in Line) athletes and developmental talents, offering a platform for rising stars. However, WWE has yet to make any official announcements regarding its launch.

Sapolsky’s Role and EVOLVE’s Legacy

Gabe Sapolsky’s involvement in the project has garnered attention, given his extensive history in wrestling talent development. After joining WWE as a creative consultant for NXT in 2016, he was briefly released in 2022 before returning later that year. His influence, along with WWE’s control of the EVOLVE brand, could shape the direction of this potential new program.

While there’s no formal confirmation, WWE’s trademark filing suggests movement behind the scenes. Fans will have to stay tuned for further updates on WWE’s evolving plans.

CM Punk Reveals Secret Of Long-Standing Friendship With Paul Heyman

CM Punk claims he and Paul Heyman have always been friends.

The Straight Edge Star has a long history with the former ECW owner. Apart from their partnership during Punk’s historic 434 days WWE Championship reign, Heyman has also been a mentor for the Best In The World behind the scenes.

Fans got to see an on-screen reunion between the two recently when Paul brought Punk in to help OG Bloodline win at the Survivor Series: WarGames. WWE has left the possibility of a further collaboration between the two open after this as it was revealed that Heyman owes Punk a favor in return of his services.

The former WWE champion talked about his long association with the Mad Scientist of Wrestling during his interview with Jackie Redmond. When asked to describe his current relationship with Paul Heyman, CM Punk claimed that they’ve always been friends:

“We’re friends. We’ve always been friends. You know, Paul Heyman obviously is kind of a lightning rod in the wrestling world, I’ve never worked for Paul Heyman, so I think that’s why our relationship has always been really, really good. He’s never [worked for me]. We’ve just always been friends, you know, like he’s been other people’s managers, other people’s advocates, other people’s wise man.

You know, for me and him, it’s always just been friendship. He’s never signed my checks. I’ve never relied on him, you know, for where my money comes from. Other people who have may have different feelings on Paul Heyman and I understand that. But that’s I think why me and him get along so well, and always have.”

Punk also mentioned how people have made a big deal about the favor from Paul Heyman. The former champion claimed that he doesn’t actually know when he’ll cash in the favor and joked that it might be as simple as him calling the wise man to pick him up for a show.

Apart from this, the wrestling veteran talked about things such as his future in the business. Punk claimed that he’s on the same path as John Cena who has announced his retirement tour for 2025. You can check out his comments on the matter here.

Paul Heyman Explains What Makes CM Punk ‘Special’

Paul Heyman believes CM Punk’s rivalry with Drew McIntyre shows why the Straight Edge Star is a special performer.

The Mad Scientist of wrestling recently spoke to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed. He discussed things such as Roman Reigns’ face turn, his Hall of Fame speech and more. The former ECW owner also talked about CM Punk’s return to WWE and getting the chance to work with him again.

Paul Heyman first claimed that he doesn’t have any regrets about his past with Punk because everything that happened has led to this moment. He then revealed his thoughts about the former WWE Champion’s storyline with Drew McIntyre, calling it one of the greatest rivalries of all time:

“He and Drew McIntyre put together one of the greatest rivalries of all time in a year when Punk was on the disabled list for nine-tenths of the run of their program. It’s fascinating to me how they pulled that off in 2024. It was new when WWE did it with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin in ’98 and ’99, but it is very hard to surprise an audience now. Punk has been a master at pulling it off.”

He Still Exists: Paul Heyman

Punk’s rise to main event status was originally tied to his rebel persona and disregard for authority. Things have changed since his return to WWE however. Some people find it surprising that he remains as popular despite becoming a company man and acting as an ideal ambassador for the promotion at every turn.

Paul Heyman discussed how CM Punk’s character and motivations have changed since his last run with the company. At his core, however, the Second City Saint remains a rebel according to Heyman:

“Punk has evolved. The rebel, the disrupter, he still exists. Rebels don’t typically last that long, but this one does. That’s what makes Punk unique, different, and special. We live in an industry where unique, different, and special is rarified air. The only person that I can see who deserves the same credit for being unique and different and special is Roman Reigns.”

Apart from this, Heyman commented on the ‘favor’ he now owes Punk in return of the wrestling veteran helping Roman Reigns and The Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames last year. While Paul didn’t give anything away, he claimed that he’s ‘tickled’ at being a part of this cliffhanger that has kept people guessing.

Seth Rollins Shares The Pros & Cons Of The WWE Royal Rumble Match

This weekend, WWE will host its 2025 Royal Rumble PLE from Indianapolis, Indiana, kicking off the Road to WrestleMania 41. Speaking to SI Media with Jimmy Traina, Seth Rollins reflecting on why competing in the titular match can be easier than a traditional one-on-one contest.

“You’re sharing the workload with 29 other guys. There’s a little less stress, you know, it’s like a team sport.”

Rollins compared this to a singles match, where the “microscope is entirely on you the whole time.” In contrast, talent are able to be a “cog in the machine” during a Royal Rumble match.

While a Rumble may be an easier match, being part of the event does have its difficulties. On the show, Rollins explained how being part of one of WWE’s most popular Premium Live Events of the year does add the pressure on.

“The pressure is higher, because there are so many eyes on it [the Royal Rumble event.] You want it to be memorable. It’s the kickoff to our biggest party of the year, WrestleMania season.. so it’s kind of easier and harder in some ways.”

Check out these interesting stats about Seth Rollins in the Royal Rumble Match:

Rollins hopes to become the latest two-time winner of the Royal Rumble match, an act that’d see him join the likes of Triple H, Batista, Randy Orton, John Cena, and more. With 30 competitors involved, Rollins will have to be more than a mere ‘cog’ if he hopes to punch his ticket to WrestleMania 41 at the 2025 Royal Rumble on February 1.

2025 Royal Rumble: Preview, Matches, How to Watch

CM Punk On His Wrestling Future: I’m On The Same Road As John Cena

CM Punk knows that he is on his way to retirement but he is not putting a date out for it just yet.

At 46 years old, Punk’s age is definitely a part of the conversation when people talk about his future in wrestling. With his run since his 2021 wrestling return being bogged down by one injury or another, people wonder how many more matches the former world champion has left in him before he calls it a career.

The Straight Edge star was asked if he feels like a clock is ticking over him in his interview with Jackie Redmond ahead of Royal Rumble. CM Punk claimed that he feels great at the moment. Though he also reflected on his 2024 Royal Rumble injury and noted that he realizes that his time in the ring is limited:

“I feel great right now. I definitely don’t feel like there is a looming doomsday clock over my head or anything like that. Bur saying that, I also do realize, based on what happened in the last Royal Rumble, that this could all end in a heartbeat.

I never know when my last match is going to be, and you see guys like John Cena doing a full-blown retirement tour. I look at myself like I’m on the same road as John, maybe just not egotistical enough to announce to everybody, ‘Hey, this is it.'”

I’m Doing My Best: CM Punk

CM Punk explained that he has not set a date on his retirement and he’s taking things one day at a time. Though he knows that he wants to end his career before anyone can say that he’s lost a step:

“I’m not setting a limit on anything, I’m just doing my best to bulletproof myself on a daily basis, work as hard on recovery as I do in the gym and in the ring, and not make this twilight of my career extended beyond what people expect of me. I don’t want to twist in the wind and just like be some old guy.”

The wrestling veteran also claimed that he gets criticized unfairly because he’s embracing his age. He mentioned how he doesn’t dye his beard or his hair because he’s earned his greys. According to Punk, he was unapologetically himself when he first started wrestling at 15 years of age and he remains the same at 46.

“I would love to see AJ Lee in the Rumble. I think the pop would be absurd. It would be very exciting.”

At the event, Bayley reminded Big E of an unfortunate incident from the April 8, 2013 Raw, where Big E struck AJ in the chest during their entrance. Even a dozen years later, the former WWE Champion feels bad for what happened.

“We’re trying to move on, okay?! That was like 13 years ago! It was very embarrisng for me, she just smiled like it was nothing.”

AJ Lee’s Royal Rumble Return?

Big E isn’t the only notable name hoping to see AJ Lee make her return to action this weekend in Indianapolis. While appearing on the Lightweights Podcast, , WWE interviewer Jackie Redmond said that she would be “so pumped” to see Lee return this weekend. Redmond even shared her take that nothing would be bigger than a return by the former Divas Champion.

“That’s all anyone would be talking about. What could top it? … If AJ f**king Lee came back, is there anything that could steal that headline from her?”

CM Punk also hopes to see his wife return to WWE this Saturday, though has said in the past he wouldn’t force her to do anything she didn’t wish to do. Punk hopes to earn his first victory in the Men’s Royal Rumble this weekend, and fans remain excited at the prospect of a return by AJ Lee at the 2025 Royal Rumble event.

CM Punk Reflects on Injury and AJ Lee Ahead of 2025 Royal Rumble

CM Punk’s WWE return at the 2024 Royal Rumble was meant to be a triumphant moment, but resulted in the Best in the World suffering a torn triceps. Speaking with Jackie Redmond, Punk recalled feeling broken before informing his wife AJ Lee of the bad news.

“I gave myself a good eight-minute cry before I called my wife and told her, ‘Hey, I got hurt.’ I could cry for 45 minutes, and the instant I actually try to vocalize something like that to her, I’ll still blubber.”

Realizing how upset he was, AJ Lee made sure to comfort her husband, assuring him that this injury was just a temporary setback.

“She said, ‘Just come home, I’ll take care of you, we’ll get over it, we’ll get through it.’ That’s what we did. That’s what she does for me. Always has my back.”

Punk will be a part of this weekend’s 2025 Royal Rumble event, and hopes to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match for the first time. Stephanie McMahon Getting Her Own Show on ESPN+ This March

Stephanie’s Places, a brand new show featuring Stephanie McMahon, has officially been announced and will launch on ESPN+ this March. A trailer for the show was shared this week featuring McMahon alongside top WWE names including The Bloodline, Charlotte Flair, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.

Speaking to Pat McAfee on his show, McMahon shared her plans for the show.

“It’s really to tell the stories that haven’t been told. To find out more about the people behind the characters. What I want to do is bring some type of advice to the audience.”

McMahon hopes that the Superstars and Legends who appear on the show will share how they overcame adversity, lessons that viewers can bring to their own lives. While no specific date has been given, fans can expect Stephanie’s Places to land on ESPN+ in March 2025.

The series follows in the footsteps of the football-themed documentary series Peyton’s Places, hosted and executive produced by Peyton Manning. This show also marks Stephanie’s first project for WWE since her departure in 2023. While McMahon has appeared a handful of times since then, including at SummerSlam 2024, she did not have an official role with WWE as of August last year.

March 2025 is shaping up to be a huge month for WWE, with the Elimination Chamber PLE in Toronto and the launch of WWE 2K25. Now, Stephanie McMahon will add another layer to WWE’s big month on the road to WrestleMania 41.

Stephanie McMahon Weighs In On Vince: “I Know Where I Stand”

In January 2024, Vince McMahon stepped down from WWE following Janel Grant’s lawsuit against himself, the company, and John Laurinaitis. This controversy is just the latest for McMahon who’s legacy has come under immense scrutiny in recent years.

On The Pat McAfee Show, Stephanie McMahon was asked for how she handles attacks on her father and family as a whole. McMahon recalled the federal government’s case against her father in the early 1990s, in which Vince was alleged to have pushed steroids on talent.

“The media came after my family in a really big and really hard way to deal with when we were in high school… At the time, I was filled with a lot of anger and resentment, and I had a hard time navigating all of that.

Today, Stephanie isn’t as concerned about what is said about her family in the public. Instead, the 48 year old recognises that many who talk about her family and father choose to do so without all the facts.

“It’s just noise. We all have opinions no matter what, and that’s great. You can think you know exactly what’s going on.”

Stephanie did not mention the Janel Grant lawsuit directly, but knows her place in this situation, stating that “I know where I stand, and that’s how I have to just be grounded.”

Vince McMahon Community Noted On X After ‘Case Closed’ Comments

Vince McMahon has denied the allegations that he was sexually abusive to Grant, and WWE has avoided referencing him on TV. While Vince McMahon’s days with WWE are seemingly over for good, Stephanie won’t let the ‘noise’ from others drown out her support for her family.
