Hulk Hogan Teases Role in Donald Trump’s 2025 Inauguration

Controversial professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan is in a celebratory mood one week after getting booed out of the Intuit Dome at the WWE Raw Netflix premiere.

Hogan appeared on Jesse Watters Primetime on FOX News last night to share his thoughts on the state of the country and his excitement for Donald Trump’s upcoming presidential inauguration. Hogan pounded a beer and declared, “We’re already celebrating the inauguration, even before it happens because we know we’re getting our country back!”

According to Hogan, it now feels like a “dark cloud” has been lifted since Trump’s re-election. He says the “whiners and criers” brought the United States to the brink of destruction, but things will get back on track, jack, next week when Trump is inaugurated. When pressed about his plans for the event, Hogan replied:

“Well, there’s a little birdie that says I might just be there pulling a few shenanigans, brother.”

“I’ve got my ‘Trump Pump’ back on and I’m gonna be ridin’ dirty all the way to that inauguration. I cannot wait for him to be sworn in, brother!

It’s a new day, it’s a new country, and we’re gonna make America great again because we’ve got a real American President, brother!”

Chrissy Teigen Celebrates Daughter’s Birthday with John Cena Cake

Chrissy Teigen marked a return to her kitchen with a special John Cena-themed birthday cake to celebrate her daughter Esti’s second birthday. Teigen shared a photo of the WWE-themed cake, complete with two figures of the Cena, Esti’s favorite pro wrestler.

“I’m feeling grateful to be back home, she wrote on Instagram. “This is all I could muster up for Esti’s birthday.”

Teigen and her family had to flee their home on January 8 due to the wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles. The family, consisting of Teigen, Legend, their four children, four dogs, and a bearded dragon, had been staying at a hotel before returning home on January 13.

Esti’s love of John Cena is no secret, with Teigen ssharing last month that her daughter couldn’t “do anything” without a figure of the WWE icon nearby. Teigen added that Esti’s love for Cena seems to have come out of nowhere, calling it a “mystery.”

The Teigen/Legend household will be among those watching Cena’s farewell from in-ring competition, which kicked off during last week’s debut of Raw on Netflix. Cena has vowed to win the Men’s Royal Rumble on February 1, a victory that’d earn the iconic star the opportunity to become a record-breaking WWE World Champion.

Corey Graves Headed to Tonight’s NXT With ‘A Lot To Say’

WWE broadcaster Corey Graves will appear on tonight’s WWE NXT on The CW, and he’s got some things to get off his chest.

Graves has been the odd man out of the commentary rotation as Joe Tessitore has been paired with Wade Barrett for SmackDown, and Pat McAfee is back with Michael Cole as they take the reins for WWE Raw on Netflix.

As Raw made its second run on Netflix, Graves took to social media to air his grievances—claiming that he’s been demoted in favor of his co-workers who are more famous than him. Wrestling fans immediately debated if Graves was legitimately upset, working a storyline, or a combination of both.

The Pittsburgh native will clear the air tonight with a live mic and a head full of steam.

https://twitter.com/WWEGraves/status/1879161902372401621

Graves shouldered a great deal of the broadcasting responsibilities throughout 2024 as, for the first time, he took the lead role behind the booth for the SmackDown brand. Corey worked with Wade Barrett as well as Michael Cole and, in the past, has teased a friendly rivalry with McAfee, who, for the past couple of years, would take a leave of absence due to his ESPN College GameDay duties. It should be noted that Graves ultimately hasn’t ruled out an in-ring return, and his umbrage with his “forced out” role could lead to physicality between him and his Steel City commentary comrade.

It’s fitting Graves took to socials on Monday, considering Tessitore made his SmackDown debut with Barrett this past Friday as the blue brand hailed from Portland, OR.

Corey Graves After WWE NXT Move: “Not Famous Enough For Your Own Job”

Last week, WWE shifted its commentary teams with Michael Cole and Pat McAfee moving to Raw while Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore are now calling the action on SmackDown. These changes resulted in Corey Graves being moved from the blue brand to NXT, a move that has seemingly frustrated the veteran commentator.

On X, Graves reflected on his journey in WWE, including being told his in-ring career was over due to injuries. Though Graves stopped short of mentioning the move from the main roster to NXT, the commentator took issue at “being told you’re not famous enough for your own job.”

Imagine chasing your dream.

Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream.

Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty f***ing awesome at it.

And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job.

Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.

https://twitter.com/WWEGraves/status/1879024900590944273

On last week’s NXT, which served as the New Year’s Evil show, Graves addressed his appearance, saying The Rock being on the show was good enough reason for him to show up. It remains to be seen if Graves will be a part of tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, especially after his comments on social media.

Update: Corey Graves is Heading to WWE NXT (1/14)

Rey Mysterio Endorses Penta After Debut In “True Home” WWE

WWE’s newest arrival, Penta, received a significant endorsement during this week’s Raw from one of the most celebrated masked wrestlers of all time, Rey Mysterio. In an interview with Jackie Redmond during a commercial break, the Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on Penta’s WWE debut.

“I’ve known Penta for quite some time now, and I’ve always envisioned Penta’s true home to be WWE. Well, he just went out there and proved to me and the whole world why he’s here.”

Penta’s impactful debut came at the expense of Chad Gable, who had previously demanded a match with a luchador from Adam Pearce. Before the show, WWE released Penta merchandise, leading fans to speculate that his in-ring debut was imminent.

In recent weeks, vignettes highlighting the arrival of a new Superstar were aired, with last week’s video confirming that Penta was coming to WWE. On commentary, Michael Cole acknowledged that Penta’s debut had been the “worst kept secret in the business.” Pat McAfee similarly said that Penta’s arrival was too big a secret for WWE to keep.

Rey Fenix Reacts To Penta’s WWE Raw Debut

Penta departed AEW last year, though Rey Fenix remains under contract despite being off television for months. With Penta’s WWE career starting strong on Monday Night Raw, fans are eager to see what’s next for the Zero Miedo star on a roster stacked with talent.

What Happened With LA Knight After Raw Went Off Air

LA Knight competed in a championship match after this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw from SAP Center in San Jose, California went off air.

Hometown star Bayley was featured in the first dark match of the night after the show. She had multiple segments on the broadcast which included one where the former champion teamed up with Rhea Ripley to take out Nia Jax. Bayley then faced Jax in a singles match after the episode and picked up the victory.

Knight on the other hand faced Shinsuke Nakamura in a Survivor Series rematch for the US title. He did not manage to recapture the championship however and the match ended in a disqualification.

What Happened On Raw

The second Monday Night Raw episode on Netflix featured many noteworthy moments. Both Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins also declared their entry into Royal Rumble, joining names such as Roman Reigns and John Cena on the list of participants.

Damian Priest picked up a big victory over Finn Balor in the Street Fight main event, signalling the end of their feud. Dakota Kai on the other hand made history by becoming the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Arguably the biggest moment of the night, however, was the highly anticipated debut of Penta, who picked up a victory over Chad Gable in his first WWE match ever. You can check out Rey Fenix’s reaction to Penta’s debut here.

Rey Fenix Reacts To Penta’s WWE Raw Debut: “I Am So Proud”

Rey Fenix could not be happier to see his brother Penta make his WWE debut during the latest edition of Monday Night Raw. On Instagram, Fenix shared some photos of himself and Penta and spoke highly of the red brand’s newest Superstar.

Congratulations carnal!

Hands down MY FAVORITE FIGHTER!
You deserve all the best for everything you’ve worked for, the FIGHTER #1.
I am so proud to be your brother and watch you have achieved all your dreams, I LOVE YOU and SCARY.

Fenix debuted inside the SAP Center in San Jose, California as the mystery opponent of Chad Gable, who’d demanded a match with the best luchador in the world. In the weeks prior, vignettes had aired, teasing Penta’s arrival. The masked star parted ways with AEW in late 2024 after a five-year stint with Tony Khan’s promotion.

Penta Merch Already Available On WWEShop.com

Penta certainly made a splash in his WWE debut but many fans are hoping to see Rey Fenix join his brother. Fenix has reportedly had time added to his contract in AEW, despite not being used by the promotion in months. The former International Champion has alluded to mistreatment by the company, including being ignored when he needed medical help, those has since deleted these tweets.

It remains to be seen if Rey Fenix joins Penta in WWE, but the latter is off to a strong start already. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Penta and his journey as a WWE Superstar.

Cody Rhodes Reacts to Fan’s Disney Marathon Tribute

A fan of Cody Rhodes proved their devotion is ‘undeniable’ by running the Disney Dopey marathon dressed as the American Nightmare. On X, a user named Daz shared some photos from the run which caught the attention of the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion.

The Dopey Challenge is one of Disney’s most grueling running events. Named after the lovable dwarf from Snow White, the challenge spans four consecutive days: a 5K on the first day, a 10K on the second, a half marathon on Saturday, and the Disney World Marathon on Sunday.

Rhodes and his wife, Brandi, are known fans of Disney, frequently visiting parks across the U.S. This fan’s creative costume highlights the deep connection Rhodes shares with his audience, a bond that has cemented him as one of WWE’s most beloved Superstars.

Cody Rhodes In WWE

Back in WWE, Rhodes’ attention is on the Royal Rumble on February 1, where he will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a ladder match. Should he retain, Rhodes will focus on WrestleMania 41 and a possible showdown against one of WWE’s all-time greats.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Cody Rhodes, as the American Nightmare’s popularity continues to prove impossible to ignore.

The Wyatt Sicks Moved To SmackDown In WWE Transfer Window

The Wyatt Sicks have been moved to SmackDown as part of the transfer window to shake up the current rosters.

The company announced a ‘transfer window’ earlier last month that allows all three of their brands in SmackDown, Raw, and NXT to negotiate with each other and move stars around.

Karrion Kross then revealed perhaps the biggest move of the stretch so far during the January 13 episode of Raw. While talking to The Miz backstage, Kross revealed that the Wyatt Sicks have officially been moved to the SmackDown roster.

The group of Uncle Howdy aka Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, & Nikki Cross made their official debut on Raw in June last year. They’ve been feuding with Kross’ Final Testament in recent months.

The Wyatts are the first faction to move nights as part of the transfer window. Braun Strowman previously joined SmackDown as well while Logan Paul confirmed that he’ll be part of the Raw roster in its Netflix era.

A number of other top stars such as Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, and Cody Rhodes have utilized the transfer window to appear on the opposite brands but their transfer has not been announced.

After multiple title changes at NXT New Year’s Evil, a number of developmental stars are also expected to be called up to the main roster soon. You can check out a list of our preferred trades here.

Saturday Night’s Main Event: Two Title Matches Signed (1/25)

WWE has announced two championship matches for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas:

  • WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER vs. Jey Uso
  • Intercontinental champion Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus

Both matches were set up on Monday’s WWE Raw. Sheamus battled Ludwig Kaiser in a hard-hitting contest, with the Celtic Warrior picking up the W. IC champion Bron Breakker was sitting ringside for the match, and the two brutes had a brief scuffle before they were separated by WWE officials.

Later in the show, GUNTHER delivered an in-ring promo, expressing frustration over the lack of focus on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which he referred to as the top prize on Raw. He challenged anyone to step up and prove their worth. Jey Uso answered the call, interrupting GUNTHER and issuing a challenge for the title.

During the confrontation, GUNTHER accepted the challenge, stating he would expose Jey Uso as nothing more than “a really good tag team wrestler.” Uso countered, vowing to prove him wrong at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Lyra Valkyria Becomes The Inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion

Lyra Valkyria has made history by becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. In the tournament finals held during the second episode of WWE Raw on Netflix, Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. Following her victory, WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce presented her with the championship.

The Women’s Intercontinental Title was unveiled prior to the November 25, 2024, episode of Raw as part of WWE’s continued efforts to expand its women’s division, following the introduction of the Women’s United States Title. The tournament to crown the first champion began on December 2, 2024, and featured top competitors from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.

The full tournament lineup included Shayna Baszler, Katana Chance, Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez, Kayden Carter, Lyra Valkyria, Zelina Vega, Ivy Nile, Alba Fyre, Kairi Sane, and Natalya. In the semifinals on the December 30 episode of Raw, Valkyria defeated IYO SKY, while Dakota Kai triumphed over Zoey Stark to secure her spot in the finals.

Congratulations to Lyra Valkyria on this historic victory.

Penta Arrives: Meet WWE’s New Dark Luchador

The wrestling world is abuzz as Penta, one of the most enigmatic and celebrated luchadores, made his WWE debut tonight on Monday Night Raw (January 13, 2025).

Over the past few weeks, WWE has aired cryptic vignettes teasing the arrival of a mysterious figure, culminating in last week’s reveal: Penta is coming.

Known for his iconic catchphrase, “Cero Miedo!” (Zero Fear), Penta embodies a fearless approach both in and out of the ring. This rallying cry has become a mantra for fans worldwide, symbolizing his unshakable confidence and indomitable spirit.

Who is Penta?

Penta is a global wrestling sensation whose name carries weight in the industry. Throughout his storied career, he’s competed under various names—such as Penta El Zero Miedo, Penta El Zero M, Penta Oscuro, Pentagon Dark, Pentagon Jr., and Dark Dragon—each reflecting a unique chapter in his evolution as a performer.

Where He’s Wrestled

Penta, an AEW original and one-half of the high-flying tag team The Lucha Bros alongside his brother Rey Fenix, has made a significant impact in the world of professional wrestling. He has left an indelible mark in various promotions, most notably in Lucha Underground, where he gained widespread recognition. Penta has also showcased his talents in TNA/Impact Wrestling and Major League Wrestling (MLW). Additionally, he has built a strong reputation across Mexico’s lucha libre circuits, cementing his status as a versatile and dynamic performer in both tag team and singles competition.

In-Ring Style

Penta’s ring style is a dynamic fusion of traditional lucha libre and hard-hitting modern wrestling. He is known for his aggressive and impactful moves, combining high-flying maneuvers with brutal strikes and innovative drivers. His signature “Cero Miedo” (Zero Fear) attitude is reflected in his fearless approach to high-risk moves. Pentagon’s arsenal includes a variety of kicks, including superkicks and shin kicks, as well as innovative variations of piledrivers and suplexes.

His finishing moves, such as the Fear Factor (Package Piledriver) and the Pentagon Driver (Pumphandle Driver), showcase his power and technical skill. While he doesn’t rely heavily on aerial moves, he does incorporate topes and hurricanranas into his matches when needed. Penta’s style is further characterized by his taunting and charismatic in-ring presence, which, combined with his brutal moveset, has earned him comparisons to wrestling legends and the nickname “Lucha Stone Cold”.

The Road to WWE

After a successful run in AEW, Penta decided it was time to test himself in WWE, seeking to thrive on the global stage that WWE offers. While Rey Fenix remains in AEW, rumors suggest he may follow Penta to WWE when his extended contract expires.

Pentagon’s arrival is particularly significant as WWE expands its global reach. With Monday Night Raw now airing live on Netflix worldwide, his debut gives him a platform to connect with an even broader audience. His popularity spans continents. His lucha libre roots in Mexico make him a hero to Latin American wrestling fans, while his runs in the U.S., Japan, and beyond have earned him a loyal, international fan base.

His signing bolsters WWE’s presence in key global markets, especially those with a strong wrestling tradition. Pentagon Jr.’s arrival is a major moment for WWE, signaling their commitment to diversifying the roster and appealing to fans worldwide. With his reputation as one of the best in the business and his fearless “Cero Miedo” attitude, Penta is poised to leave his mark in WWE.

Tyler Bate Reportedly Close To Returning From Injury

Tyler Bate is reportedly nearing a return to action. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Bate is “extremely close” to being medically cleared after recovering from a torn pectoral injury. Once cleared, he is expected to rejoin the WWE Raw roster.

Bate has been sidelined since July 2024, following his last match on the July 2nd episode of WWE NXT. In that bout, he and Pete Dunne—competing as the team New Catch Republic—went over Hank Walker and Tank Ledger (Hank & Tank). Shortly after, WWE announced Bate’s injury on the July 8th episode of WWE Raw. Bate later revealed in a post on social media that he had suffered a complete tear of his left pectoral major and tendon, which required surgery.

During Bate’s absence, his tag team partner Pete Dunne has continued to compete in singles competition. However, no official timeline has been provided for Bate’s return as of this writing.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the talented former NXT UK Champion, whose recovery appears to be nearing its conclusion.

Fact Check: WWE Backlash 2025 is Not Coming to Mexico

Despite our earlier report, WWE will not be bringing Backlash to Mexico in 2025. According to sources in WWE (first reported by PWInsider), Bad Bunny was mistaken in his comments to Rolling Stone.

While WWE is not planning Backlash in Mexico, the company may host a Premium Live Event (PLE) in the country at some point in the future. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Grammy Award-winning artist Bad Bunny reflected on his experience competing at the 2023 Backlash event in Puerto Rico and speculated that a future event could take place in Mexico.

“We were there until we could bring WWE to Puerto Rico. And man, I actually feel like it was good for them and for everyone, because I saw that last year Backlash was in France, now it’s going to Mexico. They saw that it worked.”

His information apparently came from this debunked tweet from @WrestleVotes.

img 7009 1

Although Bad Bunny’s comments sparked excitement among fans, WWE has not announced any plans for Backlash in Mexico. However, the idea of a PLE in the country is not new. In May of last year, Rey Mysterio expressed his desire for a PLE inside the historic Estadio Azteca. Similarly, in July, Cody Rhodes told fans at a Monterrey live event that he was hoping to bring a major WWE show to the country.

WWE’s Global Expansion

As WWE continues to expand its global presence, hosting events in Mexico would fit into its strategy of international growth. Since 2022, the company has staged Premium Live Events in England, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Canada, and Australia. WWE is also preparing for its Road to WrestleMania tour, which will take its Superstars across Europe.

While Backlash 2025 will not take place in Mexico, fans can remain optimistic about the possibility of a future PLE in a country with a rich wrestling tradition. Stay tuned to SEScoops for updates on WWE’s international events and potential plans for Mexico.

The highly anticipated bout is set to take place tonight on the January 13 episode of WWE RAW. Ahead of the historic contest, Kai took to X to reflect on her journey. She described her seven-and-a-half-year tenure in WWE and her lifelong dream of becoming a champion.

“I’ve been about WWE for 7 and a half years. This has been my dream for as long as I can remember, way back when I was practicing DDTs on my lil bro in the lounge (don’t try this at home, lol).

With each opportunity to win a singles championship over the years, I’ve given my all every time… even if I fell short, every time. I don’t want to say ‘failure isn’t an option’ because failure has been a part of my story and I’ve learned from it. I hope to make you all proud.”

In a separate recent interview with The Ringer Wrestling Show, Kai opened up about her excitement for the championship match. Seven years into her WWE run, the “It feels like it’s been a long time coming,” she said.

“I’ve been in the company for about seven years now, and while I’ve had opportunities, it’s almost been like close but no cigar. So for me, next week is a big opportunity to show what I can do… and hopefully finish off that fairytale ending.”

Both Kai and Valkyria have fought their way through the tournament, making this clash one to watch. Fans will be tuning in to see whether Kai can finally achieve her dream or if Valkyria will make her own mark in history as the first-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Penta Merchandise Launches Ahead of WWE Raw Debut

Pentagon Jr., one of the most electrifying wrestlers in the industry, has launched a brand-new merchandise line on WWE Shop just hours ahead of his highly anticipated television debut on WWE Raw.

Fans can showcase their “Cero Miedo” spirit with exclusive WWE-licensed gear, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, and a replica mask inspired by Pentagon Jr.’s iconic look. A product description for one of the shirts reads:

The mysterious logo printed across the chest leaves no doubt you’re eager to see the WWE’s newest dark luchador dive upon and dominate those daring to stand in his path.”

Tyson Fury Retires from Boxing, Next Stop WWE?

Tyson Fury, the renowned heavyweight boxer famously known as “The Gypsy King,” has officially announced his retirement from professional boxing. In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, Fury delivered a concise but emotional farewell message to his fans:

“I’m going to make this short and sweet. I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast. I’ve loved every single minute of it. I’m going to end with this – Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side.”

This announcement marks another milestone in a career defined by extraordinary highs and unexpected twists. Fury had previously retired in 2022 following a decisive victory over Dillian Whyte but later returned to the ring to defeat Derek Chisora later that year.

At 36, Fury leaves the sport following two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk. If this retirement is final, Fury concludes his illustrious career with a record of 34 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. Among his many accomplishments are multiple heavyweight championships, including the WBC heavyweight title and The Ring magazine’s heavyweight title.

Tyson Fury’s WWE Journey

Beyond his boxing achievements, Tyson Fury has made a significant impact in professional wrestling through his collaborations with WWE. He debuted with the promotion in October 2019 on an episode of SmackDown, where he confronted Braun Strowman. This encounter culminated in a high-profile match at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia later that month, which Fury won. Since then, his WWE appearances have been sporadic yet memorable.

In 2022, Fury made a surprise appearance at the Clash at the Castle event and went toe-to-toe with none other than Roman Reigns.

Despite ongoing speculation about potential appearances at major WWE events like the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, logistical challenges—such as legal issues impacting his ability to travel to the United States—have reportedly complicated these plans.

Nonetheless, Fury has expressed strong enthusiasm for future collaborations with WWE, citing his lifelong passion for professional wrestling. As he steps away from boxing, fans are eager to see whether Fury might dedicate more time to WWE, potentially trading his boxing gloves for wrestling boots.

Ticket Sales Surge Following John Cena’s Announcement

January 6, 2025, during the Netflix premiere of WWE RAW, John Cena officially declared himself for the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match. This announcement has had a significant impact on ticket sales, proving that the 16-time world champion still has the power to draw crowds.

According to WrestleTix, a reputable source for wrestling event ticket information, 3,112 tickets were distributed in the week following Cena’s announcement, bringing the total to 53,369 tickets sold. This surge in sales is a testament to Cena’s enduring popularity and star power.

John Cena’s Quest for a Record-Breaking 17th World Title

Cena’s participation in the Royal Rumble is not just about making an appearance; it’s part of his larger goal to secure a record-breaking 17th world championship. The announcement came as part of Cena’s retirement tour, adding an extra layer of emotion and significance to his Royal Rumble bid.

At 47 years old, Cena acknowledged the challenges he faces, stating, “I just don’t know what my best at 48 looks like.” However, his determination to win the Royal Rumble and potentially headline WrestleMania 41 has sparked a frenzy among fans, many of whom are eager to see the wrestling icon make history.

Star-Studded Royal Rumble 2025 Lineup

While Cena’s participation has garnered significant attention, the 2025 Royal Rumble is set to feature a roster that rivals some of the most memorable events in WWE history. Fans can expect to see established stars like CM Punk and Roman Reigns, alongside rising talents such as Jey Uso, Gunther, Sami Zayn, and Drew McIntyre.

The Impact of John Cena on WWE Events

John Cena’s ability to boost ticket sales is not a new phenomenon. WrestleTix noted that since 2021, Cena’s appearances have consistently added 2,000 to 3,000 ticket sales to every show he’s been part of. This level of impact is unmatched by most current WWE superstars, with only a few names like The Rock, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns coming close to Cena’s drawing power.

2025 Dates For WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Revealed

In December 2024, WWE brought back its iconic Saturday Night’s Main Event show, giving fans a burst of nostalgia while fitting with the promotion’s sleek modern-day presentation. A second show is scheduled for later this month in San Antonio, Texas and now two more dates have been confirmed. Peacock has updated its WWE Premium Live Events Schedule to reveal two new episodes of Saturday Night’s Main Event on the following dates:

  • May 24, 2025
  • July 12, 2025
GhLMmHcWYAA1gH7

Interestingly, both of these dates may conflict with two of AEW’s biggest shows of the year.

May 24, 2025 takes place over Memorial Day weekend. While AEW hasn’t announced a show on this date as of press time, the holiday weekend has played host to AEW Double or Nothing since the company’s launch in 2019.

The July 12, 2025 episode of SNME will go head-to-head with AEW All Out: Texas, scheduled to be AEW’s largest event in the United States to date.

As Tony Khan looks ahead and plans out the next few months of storylines, he now has extra motivation to deliver the best possible product to minimize damage to AEW PPV buys amid stiff competition from WWE PLE airing on broadcast television in the United States.

WWE Scraps Segment Filmed With The Rock & Cody Rhodes

The Rock and Cody Rhodes’ on-screen beef is seemingly finished, resulting in footage filmed with the two potentially never seeing the light of day. On the historic WWE Raw debut on Netflix, The Rock praised Cody and the pair shared a hug inside Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome.

Rhodes and The Rock filmed a segment at the Moana 2 premiere that now may never be aired. According to Fightful, segment would’ve seen the two squash the beef between them, but that the segment on Raw covered the same topics as the Moana 2 segment. Sean Ross Sapp added that given what transpired on Raw, the segment filmed at the film premiere didn’t need to see the light of day.

WWE Stars Attend Moana 2 Premiere in Hawaii

While Raw marked the end of the Rock-Rhodes angle to many, the Final Boss’ appearance on WWE NXT teased that their feud may not be over just yet. Seemingly addressing the backlash to his year-long feud with Rhodes being abruptly ended, Rock teased that he was 20 steps ahead of everyone else, and encouraged fans to stay tuned.

With his issues with The Rock in the rear-view mirror (at least for the time being,) Rhodes attention turns to the Royal Rumble, where he’ll face Kevin Owens in a Ladder match. Stay tuned for the latest on both Cody Rhodes and The Rock, and whether the pair ever do battle in a WWE ring.

Drew McIntyre Eager to Promo Battle John Cena

Drew McIntyre is determined to get the opportunity to work with John Cena.

Cena kicked off his farewell tour at the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere. There, he declared for the Royal Rumble match, as he made it clear that he wants to win the world title one last time.

Speaking on the Babyfaces Podcast, McIntyre was asked to comment on John Cena in the Royal Rumble match and targeting the world title. He wished Cena luck, before cutting right to the trash talk.

“All I care about is, I want time on that microphone with him, and I want that one-on-one match, and I’m gonna make it happen one way or another,” McIntyre said.

“Let’s just hope he doesn’t end up in the ring with me in the Rumble because the last person who got in my way in the Rumble last year and was aiming to main event WrestleMania was CM Punk, and I tore his tricep off the bone, so I’ll maybe ask Cena pick the muscle, pick the bone because I’m tearing it or breaking it.”

End Zone Pedigree: Quinyon Mitchell’s Triple H Tribute Seals Eagles’ Wild Card Victory

In a pivotal moment during the Eagles’ wild card playoff game against the Packers, rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell clinched the victory with a game-winning interception. To celebrate, Mitchell paid homage to WWE legend Triple H by attempting to perform the iconic Pedigree move on his teammate, Cooper DeJean.

Triple H responded to the moment on social media, congratulating Mitchell and the Eagles on their big win. Since he “didn’t get all of it,” the WWE icon humorously commented on the botched move, noting that there’s a reason WWE advises fans not to try its moves at home.

Both Mitchell and DeJean have been instrumental in the Eagles’ success this season. The two rookie defensive backs quickly moved beyond their rookie status, emerging as key contributors to Philadelphia’s top-ranked pass defense.

Throughout the season, Mitchell and DeJean have developed a strong bond, characterized by friendly competition and mutual support. Their on-field synergy and off-field camaraderie have been evident, making this celebratory moment a fitting highlight of their standout rookie campaigns.
