WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne has said that he has finished wrapping up dates in the British independent wrestling scene.
Dunne and Tyler Bate had a match on the PROGRESS Wrestling’s Chapter 92: Unboxing event, where Dunne defeated Tyler. After the match Dunne tweeted out a picture of him with Tyler Bate saying that this was his last match in the independent scene.
“Finished my time on the British independent scene tonight,” wrote Dunne. “Closing out a week that saw me in New York, Germany, Spain and London. 13 years that I wouldn’t change for anything, on to the next chapter.”

Drake Maverick, the 205 Live General Manager also tweeted out a message congratulating all the British wrestlers who have done their independent dates. He wrote, “Congratulations to the British wrestlers who wrapped up their final independent dates today. Very happy for you all. Enjoy what the future brings!”

PROGRESS Wrestling promoter Jim Smallman also tweeted out a message thanking Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate for their contributions in PROGRESS and the British wrestling circuit.

There is no news on whether Dunne and Tyler will be working exclusively for WWE, but we will keep you updated when more information comes out.
