After Shinsuke Nakamura made it clear that he and AJ Styles are not finished yet during the latest episode of SmackDown Live, many started wondering if their next encounter will also feature some sort of stipulation.
The latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter sheds some light on the future plans for these two and reveals that WWE is considering doing a Last Man Standing match between the Smackdown Stars.
After having two regular matches and a no disqualification match with a bizarre finish, it would make sense for AJ and Nakamura to meet in a match like Last Man Standing as it will increase the chances of a decisive winner.
As we noted before there have also been reports of Officials planning a title feud between Styles and Samoa Joe on SmackDown Live in upcoming time.
While not confirmed a last man standing match could very well mean that WWE is looking to culminate the rivalry between Shinsuke and the current WWE Champion and start the feud involving Joe which they also hinted on prior to Backlash.
No word yet on when Nakamura and Styles will meet again but since Brock Lesnar is not expected to work Money In The Bank, it’s likely that WWE will save their encounter for the upcoming PPV next month.
