A potential spoiler for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match at tonight’s (May 19, 2019) WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view event in Hartford, CT at the XL Center on the WWE Network may have surfaced online.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio noted on a recent episode that McIntyre was scheduled at one point to win the match. As of this writing, due to plans constantly changing in WWE due to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, there’s no word yet on if McIntyre is still planned to be the winner. It should be noted that he is the favorite to win, according to the latest betting odds.
Over the last week, WWE has sent McIntyre around to speak with several media outlets to promote Money In the Bank. One topic has been discussed throughout these interviews which was him losing his patience for a top title shot in WWE.
While doing an interview with Sports Illustrated, the Monday Night RAW star brought up how he needs to become champion to spread his message.
“I’ve never had a world title shot, ever, in my WWE career, so I’m going to need to win the Money in the Bank contract to take that opportunity,” he said. “In order to spread my message of eradicating complacency to the superstars complaining on social media, I need to become champion.”
