Reason Behind Dolph Ziggler’s Absence From WWE TV

It’s been a while since we have seen Dolph Ziggler on WWE programming and many wonder where the ‘show off’ is and if there is a serious reason behind his absence.

Some speculated that he may have taken some time off while others believe that WWE may be keeping him off screen due to the fact that his brother was recently pleaded guilty in a shooting incident a few weeks ago.

Considering multiple reports of him being unhappy with his position in the company in the past, and the fact he hasn’t been part of any significant feud lately, many even believe that we may have already seen the last of him and he may be planning to leave WWE.

Though in the recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer cleared the air about his status with the company, killing off all the rumours related to his absence.

When asked why Ziggler hasn’t appeared on SmackDown Live lately, Meltzer revealed that the reason why the former IC Champion hasn’t been a part of WWE Programming recently is simply because writers don’t have anything for him.

It was also revealed that Dolph has not taken any time off and while he is nowhere to be seen on the weekly WWE Shows, he has been working on Live Events continually.

Dolph Ziggler last appeared on SmackDown during the July 4rth episode of the show last month where he participated in the Independence Day Battle Royal.
