3-time Ring of Honor World Champion and former Bullet Club member Adam Cole has signed with WWE, as first reported by PWInsider. Cole is scheduled to begin training at the WWE Performance Center this week and will be joining the NXT brand.
With NXT Takeover: Brooklyn taking place this Saturday night, don’t be surprised if Cole is shown sitting ringside as WWE has done with past NXT signings. Cole is joining a stacked NXT men’s singles division, which includes NXT Champion Bobby Roode, Aleister Black, Hideo Itami, Johnny Gargano, Kassius Ohno, Roderick Strong and many others.
During an appearance on Live Audio Wrestling back in May, Cole spoke about being a free agent and not wanting to rush into any decisions about the next chapter of his career.
“For me, I don’t want to have anything that I’m second-guessing. I want to totally make sure, this is the decision I want to make, this is where I want to go, this is what I want to do. And for me, that does take some time because, again, a lot of people think this is just some easy, okay you just make your decision and you go, it’s not. My entire life could potentially change so this is definitely something that I need to sit back and think about, talk to the people that I’m closest with and decide what is best for me, what is best for Adam Cole.”
