Rey Mysterio made a surprise appearance on Sunday night at a WWE live event in San Diego, CA at the Pechanga Center.
He did so by confronting United States Champion Samoa Joe, who worked the opening contest against Ricochet, Cesaro & Robert Roode in a fatal 4-way match to retain the title.
Mysterio suffered an injury (separated an acromioclavicular joint in his shoulder) during his match against Joe where he won the WWE United States Title at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view event.
While doing a recent interview, Mysterio revealed that his timeframe for a return to in-ring action would be later this month or in early July.
