Joe Koff, Ring of Honor’s Chief Operating Officer, recently spoke to USA Today about Adam Cole’s decision to leave the company and join WWE/NXT. Koff said there “forever will be a place in my heart for my time working with Adam Cole.”
Cole, a 2-time ROH World Champion, made his NXT debut during SummerSlam weekend at Takeover: Brooklyn III by attacking new champion Drew McIntyre and aligning himself with former ROH stars Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.
Koff told USA Today, “Do I feel any more because he left? I feel the same when anybody leaves. It always makes me feel like we did a good job on our part.”
He continued, “This is something that Adam really wanted to do –and Bobby did and Kyle did and Kevin Owens before them – I’m all for their happiness. If they can fulfill their happiness in their roles, then I’m all for it.”
