People were wondering if WWE will respond to AEW’s Double Or Nothing PPV on Raw this week and for the surprise of many they did acknowledge the company via a name drop on the Red Branded Show.
This mention came during a Question & Answer session of Sami Zayn held by Corey Graves, where the fans were allowed to ask Zayn anything they wanted.
The segment saw Zayn answering some questions about the likes of Becky Lynch, not winning the Universal Championship and more.
However, the questions were not to his liking and Sami said that the fans could have asked him anything including his love life and AEW:
“I much rather hold all of you accountable for your crap. Quite frankly. You could ask me anything. You could have asked me about AEW.”
Though before this session can continue the Universal Champion Seth Rollins made his way to the ring and these two began a scheduled match.
The two wrestled for a while and Rollins was able to beat the former NXT Champion after hitting him with his finishing maneuver Curb Stomp a couple of times to end Raw.
