SmackDown Live star Samoa Joe has a big match ahead of him this weekend.
“The Destroyer” will challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Title this weekend at SummerSlam. The action all goes down from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York Sunday night (August 19, 2018).
Joe recently spoke to The Vulture Hound to promote his WWE Championship opportunity this weekend. During their conversation, Joe talked about who has influenced his professional wrestling career.
WWE producer Arn Anderson is apparently a big influence in Joe’s wrestling career:
“I think a guy, especially after I really started in the business was [WWE RAWÂ producer] Arn Anderson. He had a real good technical acumen, great timing, incredibly explosive, and was able to kind of project an air about himself despite his stature. He seemed like he was ten feet tall.
“Bouncing back and forth, I caught a little bit of UWFI and I remember early Takada matches and seeing kind of the more shoot style of professional wrestling. It was a very mixed bag.”
