There is only one WWE NXT Women’s Champion and that’s Shayna Baszler. As seen at Saturday’s (November 17, 2018) NXT TakeOver: WarGames II event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on the WWE Network, Shayna Baszler beat Kairi in a Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match. It’s likely that this feud is over and that this is the blowoff to this feud.

There is a lot of history between these two stars. Sane defeated Baszler in the tournament finals of the first Mae Young Classic that took place last year. She was then signed by the WWE and placed in the NXT brand. Sane beat Baszler at WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 event in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center to win the title. Baszler then won the title back at the Evolution pay-per-view event in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in October.
Baszler is the ninth champion in the history of the NXT Women’s Title as the first champion was Paige in 2013. Baszler held the title during her first reign for 133 days after beating Ember Moon to win it at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans during WrestleMania 34 weekend on April 7, 2018 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
