Sheamus joins former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan as members of the blue brand who are dealing with injuries right now.
The former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion didn’t appear on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, which led to fans speculating about his status. Especially due to his tag team partner, Cesaro, making an appearance and worked the headliner of this episode, which marked the second night of the Superstar Shakeup.
Sheamus is dealing with an unknown injury, according to PWinsider.com. In this report, no other details were provided on the exact injury or how long he could be out of action inside of the squared circle.
Cesaro teamed up with Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura where they lost to WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Kevin Owens in a six-man tag team match. This contest served as the headliner of the show in Montreal, QC at the Bell Centre on the USA Network.
Sheamus’ last match under the WWE banner took place last week on SmackDown Live where he competed in a six-man headliner alongside Cesaro and Drew McIntyre in a losing effort to The New Day.
We hope to have more details shortly and will pass along any new information. It will be interesting going forward to see how WWE uses Cesaro depending on the severity of the injury that the former WWE Champion is dealing with.
