WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus recently spoke to North Carolina’s Fayetteville Observer to promote WWE’s upcoming live event from the Crown Coliseum on Oct. 30. Here are some highlights of what Sheamus said about:
WWE Embracing Social Media: “It’s such a big part of what we do now. It can be negative or positive, though, but we try to use it for positive. I actually tried to avoid using social media for the longest time, but now I’m on Twitter, and it’s very involved and prominently used in our shows. It helps us keep our finger on the pulse of the fans.”
His Work With The Be A STAR Alliance: “I’m proud to be a part of this anti-bullying campaign. Bullying has been accepted as just a part of life kids have to deal with, but it doesn’t have to be. Bullied kids have been taking their own lives, and that’s tragic. And the kids who do the bullying don’t know what effect they’re having. We try to educate these kids, to help them learn that they have the power to make a change and do something positive.”
Would He Do MMA Or Politics After Wrestling?: “I don’t know. I’m hoping to do this for a long time. I just try to keep my eyes on each week as it comes.”
His Dream Opponent: “The Undertaker. I’d like to try and defeat him in a Wrestlemania event. That would be record-breaking for me.”
