Multi-time World Champion Sheamus will be back on television very soon. A promo aired on this week’s WWE Raw touting the Celtic Warrior’s imminent return.

Sheamus has been out of action since last summer. His most recent match took place on a very special episode of WWE SmackDown back on August 18, 2023. He wrestled WWE Hall of Famer Edge that night in what would ultimately be the Rated R Superstar’s final match before jumping to AEW.
While WWE says Sheamus is officially back, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that WWE sources have indicated we may not see him until the week of the 2024 WWE Draft, “or won’t have a defined brand until then.”

The 2024 WWE Draft begins later this month on WWE SmackDown (4/26) and will continue on WWE RAW (4/29). WWE typically runs a ‘supplemental draft’ with additional roster moves announced in the following day(s).
The WWE Draft is a chance to ‘shake things up’ and creating a host of fresh matchups for the year ahead. It’s also an opportunity for the top stars of NXT to be ‘called up’ to the main roster.
We already know that NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov will be part of this year’s Draft and will be a top prospect for General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis.
