The boost to SmackDown’s ratings after the Crown Jewel PPV was halted this week and the show seemed to have gone back to the path of decline in terms of TV numbers.
The episode featuring the Miz TV segment involving Daniel Bryan and the Universal Champion Bray Wyatt in the main event drew an average of 2.35 million viewers according to Showbuzz daily.
This is a 10% decline from last week’s episode of the show which was main evented by Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin in a singles match and had drawn 2.610 million viewers.
The SmackDown episode pulled a 0.7 ratings in the 18-49 demographic compared to last week’s 0.9 ratings and it was tied with Hawaii Five-O for #1 spot in the demo for the night.
The first hour of this week’s episode of the show featuring the Tag Team Championship match drew 2.445 million viewers but the second hour then saw an 8.4% decline and it averaged 2.255 million viewers.
This decline puts a halt in the climbing ratings of SmackDown which started after the Crown Jewel PPV. The post-Crown Jewel episode of the show had drawn 2.520 million viewers followed by the 2.617 million viewers for last week’s episode.
