SmackDown Viewership Up With Nakamura vs. Orton Main Event

Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live featuring Randy Orton vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event to crown a new #1 contender to WWE Champion Jinder Mahal averaged 2.582 million viewers, up from 2.455 million viewers last week.

By comparison, Monday’s Labor Day edition of RAW drew 2.932 million viewers, down from the previous week’s 3.304 million viewers.

SmackDown was #5 in viewership, behind American Horror Story, The Haves & Have Nots, Rachel Maddow and Hannity. SmackDown was #2 in the 18-49 demographic on cable this week, behind American Horror Story.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is advertised for next week’s show, so don’t be surprised to see the viewership continue to creep up as we head into Hell in a Cell.
