There continues to be a lot of buzz behind the scenes that AJ Lee could be on her way out of WWE. It was rumored last month that she would be leaving after Survivor Series. When she dropped the Divas title to Nikki Bella in under a minute at the show, it appeared there was something to the rumors.
AJ has remained on WWE television since then, picking up the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year on Monday night. There were a lot of people who thought her acceptance speech was a farewell to the WWE Universe, since she put over other Divas like Paige as potential winners of that award next year.
Especially with her husband CM Punk being on bad terms with WWE and signing with UFC this past weekend, it seems like AJ Lee leaving WWE is a matter of “when,” not “if.”
