WWE taped this week’s episode of SmackDown on Tuesday night from Memphis, Tennessee.
– Roman Reigns defeated Rusev by disqualification after Alberto Del Rio interfered. Dean Ambrose ran down and made the save. The League of Nations outnumbered them but Reigns got a chair and the heels ran away. This sets up our main event of the evening.
– United States Champion Kalisto defeated Kevin Owens in non-title match with help from Dolph Ziggler, who was on commentary. After the match, Owens attacked both of them.
– The Miz cut a promo no AJ Styles ahead of their match.
– Ryback defeated Erick Rowan. Braun Strowman attacked Ryback after the match but Ryback got away.
– Backstage, Beckly Lynch was interviewed by Renee Young but Sasha Banks interrupted.
– AJ Styles defeated The Miz with the Calf Killer (leg submission). Chris Jericho was ringside for the match and cut a promo on AJ Styles after the match. Jericho challenged him to a rematch on SmackDown next week and Styles accepted.
– The New Day came out for a promo and were interrupted by the Social Outcasts, who say they will be tag team champions.
– New Day defeated Social Outcasts, Kofi had his feet on the ropes for the pinfall.
– Divas Champion Charlotte defeated Alicia Fox with the Figure 8. Ric Flair was ringside with Charlotte and Brie Bella was on commentary.
– Goldust and R-Truth segment.
– Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose defeated Rusev & Alberto Del Rio when Reigns pinned Del Rio after a spear.
