It was announced on Wednesday afternoon that WWE tag team champions The New Day will induct the Fabulous Freebirds into the WWE Hall of Fame – not Kevin Von Erich, as previously announced. When asked about the situation on Twitter, Kevin responded that he wants to make the induction about the Freebirds, not him or the Von Erich family.

The 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony takes place on Saturday night, April 2nd from Dallas, Texas. The Class of 2016 includes Sting, The Fabulous Freebirds, Stan Hansen, The Big Bossman, The Godfather and Jacqueline.
