This match marked Reigns has his first match in several months after he had announced that his battle with leukemia is in remission.
As noted, Reigns is advertised for all Monday Night RAW TV events through the May 6th episode in Cincinnati. The belief is that the former Universal Champion will be added to the RAW TV taping on May 13th in London, England after being advertised for events taking place on the annual post-WrestleMania 35 European tour.
This likely marked the final time that The Shield will team up together for the near future as WWE has confirmed that Ambrose would be departing from the WWE at the end of April as he has decided to not sign a new contract with the company.
Once news broke about Ambrose’s decision to leave the company, it’s been reported that the reason behind his call to depart is due to him being unhappy with his position in the WWE for some time.
He’s so unhappy that even though WWE officials offered him a five-year contract that was more than seven figures per year, Ambrose turned it down.
What are your thoughts on The Shield going over? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.
