The Undertaker made his return to WWE television on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live.
He did so by appearing on the SmackDown show in New York City, NY at Madison Square Garden. This marked the first time that he had appeared on an episode of SmackDown Live from MSG.
Taker cut a promo in the ring about all of the stars that were created at MSG and his memories at the arena. This is where Sami Zayn interrupted. Zayn did a promo that led to him asking Taker to leave the ring and pass the torch as the future is good in his hands.
Zayn was in shock that Taker was doing what he asked that ultimately led to Taker hitting a chokeslam and leaving him laying.
The last time that Taker appeared on SmackDown Live came back on the June 4, 2019 episode where he had a staredown with Goldberg. This was done to promote their match at the Super ShowDown pay-per-view event.
Taker will appear again on SmackDown for the premiere episode on the FOX network that will be a 20th Anniversary special. The October 4th show takes place from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California.
WWE is slated to make their return to Saudi Arabia on October 31st so it’s possible that Taker makes his return to action at that show.
