WWE has announced a new match for the Extreme Rules PPV.
Jeff Hardy will defend the United States Title against Shinsuke Nakamura. If you recall, this match was supposed to happen last week on SmackDown Live but was nixed after it was revealed that Nakamura was bitten in the leg by a police dog the night before that show.
Nakamura has not wrestled since then and is on crutches with an expected timetable for his in-ring return to be less than two weeks.
The Extreme Rules pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.Â
