TNA World Champion Joe Hendry Appears At WWE Royal Rumble 2025

Someone in Indianapolis must have said Joe Hendry’s name, as the TNA World Champion appeared in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Hendry entered the match at #15 to a huge pop from the crowd inside Lucas Oil Stadium. On commentary, Michael Cole shared highlights of Hendry’s career, including his victory over Nic Nemeth at Genesis.

Despite the ovation, Hendry’s time in the Men’s Royal Rumble match wasn’t a long one. The Scottish star was thrown about by Roman Reigns, who was the #16 entrant.

Hendry’s appearance in the WWE Men’s Royal Rumble match is just the latest showcase for the TNA World Champion. Hendry appeared in WWE NXT in 2024 and challenged then-NXT Champion Ethan Page at No Mercy. Though Hendry failed to win the richest prize in NXT, the Scottish star remains one of the most popular stars in pro wrestling today.

Hendry’s role in the Royal Rumble comes after WWE and TNA announced a multi-year partnership that has promised plenty of crossover between the two companies. Though Joe Hendry didn’t win the Men’s Royal Rumble match, this may not be the last time fans see the TNA World Champion in a WWE ring.
