Tommaso Ciampa Returns From Injury On WWE NXT

Tommaso Ciampa is back.

The former WWE NXT Champion made a statement on Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University on the USA Network following the conclusion of the main event.

The headliner saw The Undisputed Era defeat The Street Profits to retain the NXT Tag Team Titles with help from NXT Champion Adam Cole.

This led to Ciampa’s music hitting and him walking out to the stage. The show closed with Cole and Ciampa having a staredown.

Ciampa suffered a neck injury that ultimately led to him getting surgery and relinquishing the title back in March.

WWE has already announced that that the NXT TakeOver: WarGames 3 event is slated to go down on Saturday, November 23rd in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena. This show takes place during Survivor Series weekend.

It will be interesting to see if WWE books this match at that show or books it before then on an episode of NXT on the USA Network to boost viewership.
