Rock legend Lemmy Kilmister of the band Motorhead passed away on Monday at age 70. Kilmister was best known to WWE fans as the lead singer of the band responsible for two of Triple H’s theme songs in WWE, as well as the official theme song for the Evolution faction.
Triple H, who was also a friend of Kilmister’s, who performed his entrance song live at WrestleMania 17 and 21, wrote the following about his passing just minutes before RAW was to go on the air live.
#RIPLemmy
One life, lived your way, from the beginning, till the end
See you down the road my friend…
Thank you for the gift of your sound— Triple H (@TripleH) December 29, 2015
Additionally, WWE posted the tribute video at the top of this page in honor of the late rock legend on Monday evening.
