Two More Mae Young Classic Participants, SmackDown Viewership

Mae Young Classic

– Tuesday’s July 4th edition of Smackdown Live built around the return of John Cena drew 2.329 million viewers. This is down from last week’s 2.603 million, but still considered a good showing considering it was a US holiday.

– WWE has announced two more participants for next week’s Mae Young Classic Women’s Tournament: 20-year-old Australian phenom Rhea Ripley (Demi Bennett) and ‘fierce veteran’ Sage Beckett (Team 3D graduate, former TNA Knockout Rosie Lottalove).

For more on the two latest participants, visit WWE.com.

Ripley and Beckett join an impressive group of entrants that already includes Kairi Sane, Tessa Blanchard, Abbey Laith, Taynara Conti, Jazzy Gabert, Kavita Devi, Toni Storm, Princesa Sugehit, Lacey Evans, Sarah Logan, Bianca Blair, Piper Niven and Dakota Kai.

The Mae Young Classic tapes next week (7/13-14) from Full Sail University. Episodes premiere on the WWE Network on Monday, August 28th.
