As noted last week, Tyson Kidd suffered a spinal cord injury during his match against Samoa Joe prior to WWE RAW. The latest update is that he might need to undergo surgery, which would keep him out of action for a year or more.
Since the recent concussion lawsuits, WWE has been very secretive on releasing detailed injury information.
Steve Austin and Edge have called him to give moral support and advice. There’s no word on if he’s getting a similar surgery to what Austin and Edge got but it was considered a possibility as of a few days ago.
The injury was said to be a fluke and not a result of how Joe executed the muscle buster.
