As reported earlier this week, only about five percent of people survive the injury that Tyson Kidd suffered.
According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kidd’s injury was far worse than originally believed. Kidd was apparently being legitimate in saying only five percent of people survive the injury he suffered, as that is what doctors told him.
Right after suffering the injury, while in the hospital in Texas, doctors told him he was lucky to be alive. After surgery, he was told by doctors that because the injury he suffered was so high in the neck, in most cases, such an injury would be fatal.
Apparently the only reason Kidd survived is because he is an athlete with a very muscular neck.
As reported, Kidd’s surgery resulted in him having 16 staples, four screws and a rod put into his neck.
